Aspendos Theater played its part in the golden age of many cities in Anatolia, M.S. It takes in the 2nd century. Built between 161-180, the theater was built by Emperor Marcus Aurelius. On the inscriptions above the entrances of the stage building, it is written that the brothers Curtius Crispinus and Curtius Auspicatus built the theater dedicated to the gods and the emperor. Its architect is Zenon, son of Thodoros from Aspendos.Even if the whole city was unearthed, this theater would still be the symbol of Aspendos. Because it is a Roman theater with the best preserved and most impressive acoustics not only in Anatolia but also in the Mediterranean World.
